[A NEW INTENSIVE COURSE IN ENGLISH] TRANSCRIPTION AND GENE REGULATION

  • This course will be offered by Prof. Jean-Marc Egly, member of the Science Academy in France and Yushan Scholar in ROC (Taiwan) Ministry of Education
  • Held at 5:30-7:20 PM of Mondays in April and May
  • Basic knowledge and recent development of gene expression and regulation will be introduced.
  • Designed for the second year (at least) undergraduates, who major in life sciences and have taken genetics course
  • One credit will be provided.

Lecture 1. Transcription: GT factors, mediator, activators
Lecture 2. DNA repair: 4 types of DNA repair
Lecture 3. Transcription coupled repair
Lecture 4. Transcription associated disorders
Lecture 5. Chromatin remodeling
Lecture 6. Protein degradation
Lecture 7. Nuclear receptors
Lecture 8. Post-transcriptional regulations
